آیا میل به حقیقت در بستر متافیزیکاندیشی، لزوماً خاستگاهی موجه، رهاییبخش و همسو با زندگی دارد؟ این مقاله با تمرکز بر فصل چهارم کتاب نیچه و ذن (خودفرازی بدونِ خود) نوشتۀ آندره ون دِر بْراک و تحلیل آن نشان میدهد که نیچه و ناگارجونا چگونه به این پرسش پاسخ منفی میدهند. ابتدا نقد نیچه به «میل به حقیقت» در سنت غربی بررسی میشود؛ سپس مواجهۀ مشابه ناگارجونا با سنت بودیسم تحلیل میگردد. در گام سوم، همگرایی این دو دیدگاه در واسازی و فراروی از این میل واکاوی میشود. در پایان، خوانش ون در براک مورد ارزیابی انتقادی قرار میگیرد. مقاله نشان میدهد که در هر دو سنت میل به حقیقت نیازمند نقادی است و چیرگی بر آن دریچهای بهسوی فلسفهای زیسته، در ورای دوگانگی حقیقت و ناحقیقت، میگشاید. همچنین نشان داده میشود که خوانش ون در براک در تفکیک مفهومی و روششناختی به شفافیت بیشتری نیاز دارد.
