امکان و ضرورت علّی در فلسفه ارسطو و نسبت آن با ضرورت مکانیکی دیمکریتی

چکیده
آپوریای ضرورت علّی را می‌توان ناظر به دوراهی (1) ملازمت دایمی، منطقی و متافیزیکی ضرورت و علیت و یا (2) نفی یکی بدون نفی دیگری و در واقع انکار ملازمت همیشگی ضرورت و علیت تعریف کرد. این رأی ارسطویی که هر چیزی علتی دارد، لزوماً نمی‌تواند منتج منطقی و فلسفی تعیّن‌باوری، نفی امکان آینده و انحلال قوه در فعل باشد. ضرورت، وصف علیت رخ داده در بستر واقعیت جاری حال و گذشته است، نه علیت رخ‌‌دهنده در آینده. می‌توان این معنا از ضرورت را مستلزم جبر و اصل موجبیت علّی ندانست. در واقع عملگر و جهت منطقی و متافیزیکی علیت، واقعیت بالفعل ضرورت است که همواره هم‌مصداق با نظریه جبر و موجبیت نیست. دیمکریتس با نادیده‌گرفتن علت غایی، همه کنش‌های طبیعت را به ضرورت تقلیل می‌دهد. تقلیل‌گرایی منتج از انکار غایتمندی عالم، ویژگی بارز ضرورت‌باوری مکانیکی دیمکریتی است.
