آفرینش ذوات در متافیزیک موجهات اراده‌گرایانۀ برایان لفتو

چکیده
الهی‌دانان ادیان ابراهیمی فاعلیت ایجادیِ خدای یگانه را منشأ وجود ممکنات می‌دانند. اما پیش از آن می‌توان پرسید «چرا ممکنات ممکن‌اند؟». برایان لفتو با بازاندیشی سنت الهیات فلسفی می‌گوید اغلب الهی‌دانان علم ذاتی خدا را منشأ امکانِ ممکنات می‌دانند؛ خدا به علم ذاتی سیب را می‌داند پس سیب ممکن است. لفتو از این پاسخ خرسند نیست، زیرا به باور او ذات الهی بی‌نیاز از فرض امکانِ ممکنات است. چه سیب ممکن باشد چه نباشد، خدا خداست. از طرفی امکانِ هر ممکنی ضروری می‌نماید، اما به باور لفتو منشأ این ضرورت نیز مندرج در ذات خدا نیست، بلکه مجعول به آفرینش ارادی او در ساحت علم است. خدا نه‌تنها نگارنده واقعیتِ مخلوق بلکه مبدع زبان سازنده آن است. مقاله پیش‌ رو ماجرای تصویر لفتو از این آفرینش را بازگو می‌کند و بر آن است که این تصویر برخلاف سودای لفتو، در پشتیبانی از الهیات موجود کامل با کاستی‌هایی روبه‌روست.
